Christian Initiative Trust does not have an application form or pack and you will need to read this site to understand what we seek to fund and what we will not fund.

Its not always just about the money. We sometimes work with organisations and/or individuals to help them in getting started or identifying how they might move forward with their idea. We may fund application's from these people/organisations but equally we may not. By having this advice input we seek to add value to a group. Feedback from those funded and not funded - but helped or advised - has been very positive and reinforces our belief that money alone does not 'make the difference'.

Equally, we don't just always give grants - we sometimes make loans or purchase equity in an idea. But it would be fair to say that our work is mainly through making grants.
The Trustees of CIT make the decisions about which applications we support.
They meet every three months to do this and are:
- Michael Robson (Chair) -
CEO of the Andrews & Partners business
- Tony Jackson CBE -
International business Director with experience of community sector.
- David Saint -
Principal Consultant with Charitable and Public sector consultancy.
- David Westgate -
a Director of the Andrews & Partners business.
- Nick Wright (Treasurer) -
a Director of the Andrews & Partners business.
When a grant/loan is offered to an individual or organisation
then we ask them to agree to:
- Spend the funds only as applied for and agreed.
- Tell us if there is any material difference in any aspect of their application - who it is for, how it is delivered, what it costs, who else is funding etc.
- Help us share the positive and less positive stories and outcomes of our grants by telling us after 1 year what happened and giving us some pictures/materials produced from the project. We use these on our website to inform other applicants about the work of CIT and to help them determine whether or not they should apply.
